Week Thirteen Results

Dav went to FedEx Field on Sunday to see the Skins lose in terrible fashion to the Bills. What a sad, somber day. The opening video tribute to the Meast was quite moving. Does anyone have any idea why I might have cried more with the loss of Sean Taylor than I did with my own grandfather? Does that seem strange? I guess the main differences are that my grandfather passed away after a full and robust life at 95, where Sean was murdered at 24. And there is something unique about the 90,000+ people together, sharing collective emotion. That feeling that you are a part of something that is bigger than yourself. Anyway. This is coming from a guy who bawls his eyes out each and every Sunday from 7-8 watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

New Standings:

3. Miguel (LW: 8-8; O: 93-91-8; +1)
4. Dav (LW: 9-7; O: 92-92-8; E)

As you can see, we have a dogfight at the top, in the middle and at the bottom. Anything can happen.

Also remember, don't think the DPC ends at the regular season. Sure it's great to win the regular season, but it's the playoffs that matter. Those 11 pickem games will separate the men from the boys.

Free Note:
There's a great pickem resource site out there:
Sunday Strategy
It aggregates all the standings, etc. Definitely worth a bookmark.

  • For example, do you know the Bills while 6-6 are 8-4 Against the Spread, with a 5-1 mark when they are a home underdog?
  • Or the best team in football against the spread? The 7-4 Browns are 9-5 ATS.
Not so good bets?
  • The 10-2 Colts are only 7-5 considering the points.
  • The Bengals are 0-3 as road favorites.
